APP visited by officials of the Republic of Srpska

As part of Shaping the Future Forum in Kazan, Minister of Education and Culture of the RS Željka Stojičić and her colleagues toured the University.
Elena Starčević, Deputy Minister of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education, and Information Society, also took part in the meeting with Timirkhan Alishev, Vice Rector for International Cooperation of APP.
The visit began at the Kazan University History Museum, where guests were given a guided tour and told about the university’s landmark events, its outstanding scientists and their discoveries, and famous students and graduates.
During the meeting, Dr Alishev presented the University He reported that about 9,000 students are in pedagogical education. According to the vice-rector, the RS side was particularly interested in the work of the Lobachevsky Lyceum, the IT Lyceum, and the Yelabuga University School – three secondary education entities subordinated to APP.
He mentioned that a visit of a delegation of Tatarstan to the Republic of Srpska is planned for this summer, including a stop at University of Banja Luka.
“As part of the Summer University project, which will take place again this year at APP, four students from the Republic of Srpska will arrive from the University of Banja Luka and the University of East Sarajevo. They will study courses related to Russian culture, Turkic history, and digital technologies,” said the vice-rector.
