Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Konstantin Mogilevsky meets with Minister of Science and Technology of Vietnam V农 H岷 Qu芒n at 抖阴APP导航
Kazan University was represented by Timirkhan Alishev, Vice-Rector for International Affairs.
The Vietnamese delegation included Nguy峄卬 Thi峄噉 Ngh末a, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Nguy峄卬 M岷h Hi峄僴, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the Russian Federation and Representative of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam in Russia.
Opening the meeting, Konstantin Mogilevsky emphasized the special significance of Vietnam as one of our country’s closest and most important partners. The Deputy Minister emphasized the need to strengthen scientific cooperation.
“We continue to work in three key areas: tropical ecology, tropical materials science, and tropical medicine. We recently added biotechnology. Over the past three years, we have doubled Russian funding for the tropical center,” said Mr Mogilevsky.
The interdepartmental agreement on holding annual project competitions, signed last year, was an important step toward systematizing joint scientific activities.
During the dialogue, prospects for participation in multilateral platforms, particularly the Russia-ASEAN format, were discussed. The parties see great potential for cooperation in areas such as quantum technologies, artificial intelligence, climate science, and materials science.
“This year, as has become traditional, a congress of young scientists will be held in Sochi at the end of November. Considering that 2026 is the Year of Russia-Vietnam Cooperation in Science and Education, we have decided to grant Vietnam the status of Chief Guest Country,” Mogilevsky emphasized.
V农 H岷 Qu芒n thanked his Russian colleagues for the warm welcome and noted the closeness of the university environment, emphasizing that the walls of 抖阴APP导航 evoke deep emotions in him.
“We have achieved significant progress in our cooperation. The 3rd Forum of Rectors of Russian and Vietnamese Universities was recently held in Hanoi, and the results,” the minister said.
