APP marks first ever participation in The Star Education Fair in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The university’s delegation was led by Nail Safin, Head of the International Admissions Unit.
“Universities from Southeast Asian countries, as well as European countries, are represented here. Strong political, economic, and cultural ties have been established between Russia, including the Republic of Tatarstan, and Malaysia. With our participation, we intend to translate this interaction into practical terms and generate interest among Malaysian applicants in studying in the Russian Federation in a number of promising specialties, as well as in studying the Russian language and culture,” noted Nail Safin.
The exhibition was preceded by a meeting with Andrey Potyomkin, Director of the Russian House in Kuala Lumpur. The parties discussed ways to collaborate in promoting APP’s educational programs. Colleagues from the Russian House recommended Malaysia’s regions with the highest demand for student training for cooperation and facilitated the university’s participation in the exhibition.
Over 50 educational institutions were represented, and 15,000 visitors attended. In addition to its stand, the university also gave a presentation to a wider audience.
“I was very impressed with the Malaysians youngsters’ serious approach to choosing their future major. Absolutely all applicants visited the exhibition with their parents, who were actively interested in both the educational programs and employment opportunities in Russia and their home region. The areas of medical specialization, software engineering, economics, management, and oil and gas generated the greatest interest. Prospective students are not afraid to learn Russian and, at the end of the conversation, thanked and said goodbye in Russian,” added Safin.
APP actively collaborates with educational institutions in Malaysia. Currently, a number of cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding are in force with Malaysian universities.
